Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) - $1,500 Sign-on Bonus
Charlotte Behavioral Health Care (CBHC) - Central Receiving Facility (CRF), Punta Gorda, FL
The CRF is an inpatient, 30 bed, secure, psychiatric unit that provides treatment/services to stabilize patients (adults and children) who are a danger to themselves and/or others due to mental illness or substance use disorder (SUD). This includes patients under the Baker and Marchman Acts, as well as patients who request voluntary admission. The staff includes nursing, behavioral health technicians, clinicians, and a psychiatrist. These disciplines work together as a treatment team to create a therapeutic environment and provide patient safety and care. Patients stay at the CRF for a brief time period for stabilization and are offered follow-up services to help them maintain psychiatric stability.

Position Summary
Employee performs duties normally associated with LPN PRN licensure at the CRF. This includes nursing examination/assessment, medication administration, monitoring vital signs, monitors for medication effectiveness or signs of adverse reactions, and monitors for signs/symptoms of detoxification. Provides medication and diagnosis-related information to the patient, family member(s), and answers questions as appropriate. Reviews medical record, transcribes, and/or prepares documents for doctors or APRNs review and signature. LPN PRN will also document daily progress notes and is responsible for comprehensive and timely documentation. LPN also works closely with behavioral health technicians and may provide direction during the shift.
Salary & Benefits
LPN PRNs are paid $2 more an hour and base pay ranges from $24.25 - $28.25 an hour based on experience. Additionally, LPN PRNs receive pay differentials for working weekends, over night, and for picking up last minutes shifts. This means an LPN PRNs working overnights or weekends can make as much as $35.25 an hour.
