1 Summer Painter Job in Rapids, MI
Charlotte Public Schools is Hiring a Summer Painter Near Rapids, MI
HOURS: 24 hours/week: Tuesday - Thursday, 8 hours/day
WAGE: $15.00 Hourly
LOCATION: District Wide
ASSIGNMENT/RESPONSIBILITY: Performs skilled painting jobs on furniture, buildings, and other facility areas. Applies paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishes to equipment, buildings, and other facility ares using brushes, gray guns, and rollers. Applies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, or finish coats. Fill holes, joints, and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler. Covers surfaces with drop clothes or masking tape and removes fixtures such as electrical covers, door holders, and pictures. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Communicates with Building and Grounds Supervisor on painting supply orders.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate shall possess, upon application, the following minimal experience or its satisfactory equivalent:
- 18 years of age.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
