Company: Publicly traded life science company with ~$300 million revenue in 2023 (20% YoY growth).

Summary: 

Reporting to the Controller, the Sr Manager/Director will prepare SEC filings, research and document complex transactions, and implement new accounting processes. Responsibilities include maintaining the accounting policy manual, preparing business and accounting analyses, and assisting with month-end close entries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 10-Q, 10-K, and other financial reports per US GAAP, SEC Regulations, XBRL.
• Research and document technical accounting treatments for material transactions.
• Assess and comply with new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a control environment and support Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Design and implement processes for new accounting standards and business changes.
• Implement automated solutions to improve manual processes.
• Collaborate with other departments on ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills.
• Expertise in US GAAP and SEC Reporting.
• Ability to handle complex accounting matters and support other finance functions.

Education and Experience:

• BS or BA in Accounting.
• CPA License.
• 7 years of relevant experience.
• Big 4 experience is a plus.
