Title: Hogan Mainframe Developer

Location: Kansas City, MO (Position is remote but there could be up to 25% travel to the client site in Missouri)

Duration: 6-12 months contract

This Hogan Mainframe Developer role is technically in pursuit status, however the team let us know that they can get a quick signature on the work if we find the right resource. We're working with a client in the financial sector that has a new need for another Hogan Mainframe Developer. There's an existing team that handles production support now so this resource would work alongside them. Looking for someone that has the all-inclusive Hogan application support experience including resolving standard bug issues, handling incident resolution, providing root-cause analysis, contributing to minor enhancements, etc. Previous experience in a similar highly technical Hogan role is mandatory. Position is remote but there could be up to 25% travel to the client site in Missouri. Candidates in EST or CST areas are preferred. Standard 40 hours/week. Candidates will be expected to be open to a rotating on-call schedule. If the right candidate is found quickly, we could target a mid-July start date and the contract will run for a year (extensions are very possible beyond that).

Design, code, test, and implement complex Hogan applications and modules as per the requirements and within the stipulated timelines

• Perform detailed analysis of business and technical requirements to ensure alignment with client expectations and adherence to Hogan system capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the Hogan environment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers to promote best practices in Hogan application development
• Provide continuous production support for all Hogan-related tasks and issues

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Hogan IDS, Hogan CIS, Hogan RPM, and other Hogan systems
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM, with a strong understanding of mainframe development and debugging tools
• Ability to conduct root-cause analysis, provide incident resolution, and apply minor enhancements as they pertain to Hogan applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner
• This role will require a rotating on-call schedule and occasional travel to the client site in Missouri (up to 25%)
