- Execute a Quality Management System based on Continuous Improvement.
- Research and analyze all customer issues and internal issues for the plant. Maintain quality trend analysis.
- Communicate with Customers, Sales, CSR’s and Technical Representatives to resolve issues.
- Create corrective action reports for customer issues and internal issues.
- Organize Corrective Action implementation with production and other departments, verify implementation and validate effectiveness.
- Disposition material – internal holds and returns.
- Present Quality Metrics to Senior Management.
- Lead, supervise, train, and communicate with quality technicians on all shifts.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule – willing to come in on nights and weekends when necessary.
- Attend production shift meetings – present complaints, returns and internal issues.
- Create and review specifications.
- Review test data for accuracy.
- Perform equipment verifications when necessary.
- Comply with all AIB, BRC and company standards.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with quality management systems. ISO 9000, and statistical process control preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma experience – Green Belt Preferred
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Products)
- Demonstrated skills in organizing work, taking initiative, setting priorities and sound decision-making.
- Possess logic, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.
- Deals effectively with company personnel on all levels ranging from production workers to top management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must have excellent personal relation skills to communicate and interact with personnel at all levels.
- Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
- Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
- Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
- Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
- Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
