POSITION SUMMARY
This position is an essential part of Charter Oak Health Center Inc., supporting quality initiatives, payer contracts, value based and other collaborative programs. They work closely with the Vice President of Quality and eCW specialist to develop reports and data dashboards required.
Essential Duties:
• Interacts with all levels of the organization – clinical, financial, administrative and information systems as well as external clients.
• Seeks information to ensure current knowledge on federal programs, reporting requirements and upcoming healthcare initiatives.
• Prepares analysis of trends – clinical, quality, operational and financial.
• Develops and maintains customized reports using SQL.
• Designs and develops operational, clinical, quality performance dashboards and visual analytics for programs or initiatives.
• Proactively looks for reporting solutions and enhancements; communicates any issues in a timely manner if they arise and presents solutions to the problems.
• Documents processes and produces end user documentation detailing the report production process.
• Develops crosswalks between data sets to assist in analysis and data normalization. Develops training materials, report request forms and data submission forms to facilitate the efficient and accurate transfer of information. Provides end user training as needed.
• Supports departments with data requests.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• SQL querying skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare terminology.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate with others.
• Out of the box thinker, self-starter and should be able to work collaboratively with cross functional teams across the organization.
• Highly self-motivated and organized.
• Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data and present analyses using available tools, charts, and software.
• Ability to support multiple assignments, shift priorities in accordance with need and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work independently but seek input.
Requirements
Professional Experience/Educational:
• Possession of bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred in clinical informatics, Public Health, Master’s in healthcare/business administration or related studies. or related field required.
• Other areas of specialization will be considered in conjunction with an applicable experience in a healthcare environment.
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare setting (3-5 preferred)
• Population Health work experience/Healthcare Analytics work experience.
• Experience with i2i Population Health software.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR preferred.
• Experience in Medical Non-for-profit industry required.
