Salary; $49,182.50 - $60,392.50 per year 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plans and supervises activities related to the design, implementation, and assessment of ESOL curricula preK-12.
2. Visits schools for formal and informal observations of ESOL classes and content classes containing ELs (English Learners).
3. Ensures the compliance of the ESOL program.
4. Identifies research-based strategies to support instruction in ESOL especially those that pertain to changes under Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC).
5. Attends district briefings related to ESOL, Title I, and ELL testing.
6. Contributes to the identification and selection of appropriate textbooks, instructional materials, and digital resources.
7. Provides support and training to teaching staff and department chairs in working with ELLs.
8. Works collaboratively with schools and community groups to coordinate and deliver services to immigrant families.
9. Evaluates the performance and professional growth of ESOL resource teachers.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Arts/Science in Education or field instruction required
2. Florida Teaching Certification in the Subject Area
