**Program Overview**

- During the preceptorship phase, participants will work three 12-hour shifts weekly at the hospital, alongside the preceptor's schedule.
- Participants will obtain certifications in BLS, ACLS, CPI, EKG, NIH Stroke Scale, and Meditech Modules.
- Full attendance throughout the program is mandatory.
- A minimum two-year commitment to the hospital is required for program acceptance, with potential repayment of educational costs if the commitment is not fulfilled.
- The Professional Development Program in the first year includes mentorship, seminars, poster presentation, and development of Charge Nurse and Preceptor skills.
- Recent graduates from an accredited nursing school within the last 12 months are eligible.
- Candidates with no more than 6 months of RN experience, preferably less than 2 months in a hospital setting, and no more than 6 months in nursing home/home health roles.
- Current FL RN license or appropriate compact licensure is required before the program start.
- Previous medical or service industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation are essential.
- Candidates who prioritize patient care are preferred.
- Applicants must address questions on their motivation for applying to HCA, specialty preferences, unit/shift preferences, reasons for choosing nursing, and their short and long-term goals.
- This program is open to candidates from non-accredited nursing schools and non-acute care settings.
