Chateau Lill is Hiring a Tasting Room Associate Near Redmond, WA

Chateau Lill featuring Lill Family Wines is a family-owned business just on the south end of Woodinville located in the heart of Washington’s Wine Country. As a boutique winery, we produce small-lot of handcrafted wines from other neighboring winemakers and creating an experience to remember at Chateau Lill.

This person would be working under the supervision of our Tasting Room Manager and will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Tasting Room. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about wine, provides excellent customer service, can nurture an atmosphere of teamwork, and has an enthusiastic nature.

Job Description:

Tasting Room Associates are often storytellers, and guide our customers along their tasting experience. They are leaders in customer service for the wine industry and know how to create a memorable experience.

Duties and Responsibilities: (include the following, but not limited to)

  • Host customers in a memorable tasting experience
  • Stock shelves and wine cellar
  • Assist in events
  • Other tasks as directed by Tasting Room Manager
  • Keep up to date on procedures, sales tips, event updates, and other pertinent information to aid sales and improve efficiency
  • Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening and weekend shifts
  • Ensure that all opening and closing procedures are properly followed
  • Follow responsible hospitality standards at all times
  • Maintain a friendly, warm, and clean tasting room environment (inside room and outdoor areas)
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and/or situations, and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly customer service oriented
  • Level of comfort and confidence networking
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all level of employees in a team-oriented environment
  • Other critical skills include: planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner
  • Experience in tasting room sales or customer service-oriented positions.
  • Passion for knowledge of fine wine and willingness to learn more
  • Excellent hospitality, sales, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Must be available and willing to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to stand on one’s feet for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs

Compensation:

  • Part-time hourly.
  • Hourly wage would be $15.74 per hour plus tips (anywhere from $5-$10 extra per hour from tip pool).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.28 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 16 per week
