Overview:
The Merchandiser’s main objective is to ensure our products follow our rigorous quality standards and are presented effectively to encourage customers to buy. This position also includes efficient inventory management, quality inspection, and managing display components for successful visual product presentations. The customer service aspect of the position supports our clients’ needs with the objective of maintaining positive customer relationships with Chatham.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service Duties

• Provides customer support to our retail clients
• Enters and processes orders for loose gemstones as needed
• Provides administrative support to the internal team
• Prioritizes projects based on client needs

Inventory Management Duties

• Assist in the creation of Purchase Orders for loose stones and jewelry, as needed
• Oversees the physical count of jewelry to ensure accuracy
• Manages jewelry inventory across all locations
• Prepares all show line merchandise for upcoming shows
• Manages display inventory
• Carefully inspects returned merchandise for damage
• Processes stock balances
• Prints and tags jewelry

Merchandising Duties

• Select jewelry displays based on customer orders
• Photograph gemstones and jewelry for social media
• Coordinates monthly social media posts with the Marketing Administrator
• Provides web support as needed

Qualifications/Skills:

• Quality focused
• A sharp eye and keen visual sensibility
• Hand dexterity is preferred. (Candidate will work with small instruments)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional verbal and written communication
• Product knowledge
• Quick learner
• Adobe applications preferred

Requirements:

• Must be versatile (as needed) within a small business setting.
• At least three references MUST be submitted.
• Must complete an Attention to Detail (ATD) assessment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
