Production Coordinator
If you have ever wondered what owning your own business is like, just ask an Employee Owner of Chatsworth Products (CPI). Better yet, become one! CPI has an immediate need for a Production Coordinator in CPI's Georgetown, Texas location.
As a CPI Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the storage and distribution of production ready materials in each production department. Responsible for communicating to WHSE staff of required bin inventory level needs to maintain Kan Ban or Min/Max level of inventory. Knows the status of targeted jobs, sales orders, assemblies, and parts quantities and report to production leadership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- MES Transactions. Ensure all job transactions are complete by verifying work queues at each work center in each department. Capture missed transactions to ensure all entries are complete.
- Manage Line Side Bins. Ensure that line side bins are filled as needed to maintain production flow. Monitor inventory levels of production line side material in real-time and refill bins promptly. Organize and maintain bin locations for easy access and efficiency.
- Escalating Inventory Shortages . Identify and report any shortages of production line side material promptly. Coordinate with the warehouse team to address and rectify shortages. Escalate issues only when the warehouse team has not or cannot provide the required material to fill the line side bins. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and discrepancies.
- Communication of Production Status . Provide regular updates on production status to supervisors and relevant teams. Escalate any issues that may impact production schedules, sequencing, and output. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and continuous production.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned by management.

- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking.
- Lift up to 40 lbs. frequently.
- On the shop floor environment with a crash cart, laptop, and scanner.
