Job Description
Well established, innovative Coil Coating company located in Gary, Indiana is looking for a proactive, self-starter Maintenance Manager with a strong drive and a great work ethic. As part of our team, candidate will be a key member to supporting and improving the proactive maintenance approach by eliminating constraints which negatively impact the business. This is full time salary position with competitive pay, vacation, Gainsharing, 401K and benefit package in a union environment.
Maintenance Manage will supervise and direct up to 2 full time Maintenance Technicians and be responsible for the Predictive and Preventative maintenance needs of the facility equipment and property structures which includes mechanical and electrical repairs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-year Electrical Technical degree
- Strong industrial electrical experience
- 5 years industrial maintenance experience and knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Overhead Crane, 3-phase motors, and variable speed drives is a plus
- Ability to learn process equipment specifications by actively reviewing manufacturer manuals, resources, training policies and review with fellow employees
- Practical and efficient problem-solving skills with minimal supervision in a team-based environment
- Computer literate and familiar with Windows Operating systems
Job Requirements include:
- Some forklift and man lift operation
- Reading and comprehension of machine electrical and mechanical drawings
- Use of electrical testing equipment
- Willingness to work overtime to address any emergency repair requirements
- Hands on experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing PLC programs is a plus
- Knowledge in control wiring, familiarity with low pressure Boiler controls and operation, electrical switches and photo eyes
- Installation, modification and fabrication of equipment to meet production goals and needs
- Participation in continuous improvement initiatives, established safety procedures and 5S housekeeping practices
- Strong communication skills
