Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.
CARS is glad to be supporting the Foundation Sustainment Services (FS2) contract that will establish the acquisition framework for delivering the full scope of information technology services and capabilities to support the Information Technology (IT) sustainment services for the Foundation GEOINT Integrated Program Office (IPF) and the FG capabilities/services in support of the NGA's Source Operations & Management Directorate's Foundation GEOINT Group (SF).
The CARS FS2 - Foundation Solutions team has an opening for an experienced Jr. Software Developer to modify existing GOTS code and integrate open-source software solutions for display and analysis within Aeronautical Production Systems.
Responsibilities

• Coding, developing, integrating, and debugging Python, React, .NET Core, and other language codes. Strong familiarity with Python Flask, Mapping, Gitlab/DevOps, and ESRI development
• Writing validation tests against existing code baselines to ensure code integrity during Agile development efforts.
• Assisting with unit testing.
• Writing scripts to automate AWS and RDS tasks.
• Performs software systems development, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products.
• Participate in peer reviews and unit testing and must be adaptable to different responsibilities.
• Duties include software requirements analysis and development of software products.
• This role is responsible for identifying software and hardware dependencies and capacities.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 0 years of prior relevant experience OR
• BS degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
• High school diploma or GED equivalent and 6 years of related experience.
• Experience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
• Experience with TypeScript, C# and/or Postgres
• Experience with Python (coding, developing, designing, integrating, and debugging)
• Familiarity using AWS, JavaScript, Java, and SQL
• Active TS/SCI clearance required

• Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
• Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
• Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
• Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
• Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
• Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
