Job Description Manager Visualization, Data Engineering to oversee and enhance our data visualization infrastructure and ensure the highest standards of data integrity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Power BI platform, advancing data modeling in DataBricks, and leading a team of data engineers and visualization developers. This role requires a strong background in data architecture and management to support strategic business decisions through robust data systems. Key Responsibilities: Data Platform Leadership: Administer the Power BI platform, including configuration, security, user management, and performance optimization to maintain a robust analytics environment. Lead the integration of various data sources into DataBricks to construct cohesive and efficient data models, ensuring quality and accessibility. Data Modeling and System Optimization: Design and implement sophisticated data models in DataBricks to support dynamic reporting and analytics capabilities. Utilize SQL and Python for advanced data manipulation and system optimization tasks, enhancing data throughput and storage solutions. Best Practices and Process Improvement: Establish data architecture best practices to guide data structuring, storage, and retrieval processes within the team. Innovate and standardize data visualization and engineering processes, incorporating new technologies to enhance data usability and system performance. Team Development and Management: Lead a team of data engineers and visualization developers, providing direction and support in project management and technical challenges. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, prioritizing learning and quality assurance. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with business units to translate business requirements into scalable data strategies that provide clear and actionable insights. Develop and maintain advanced dashboards and reporting systems that visually represent business metrics for strategic decision-making. Technical Communication and Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation that outlines data standards, system architectures, and development protocols. Engage with stakeholders during technical reviews and presentations, providing insights that guide business and IT strategy. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, specifically with extensive use of Power BI and DataBricks. Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams in data-centric projects. Comprehensive knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline construction. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to data management. Preferred Skills: Certifications in Power BI, DataBricks, or other relevant data management tools. Experience with SQL, Python, and other data manipulation technologies. Proficiency in developing and optimizing data pipelines and architectures, preferably in a cloud environment. Experience in an Agile project management environment.
