GeneralPurpose: Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in alearning environment that guides and encourages CCA students to develop andfulfill their academic potential.

MainJob Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

·plan,prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learningexperiences with Core Knowledge and Core Virtues Curriculum

·establishand communicate clear objectives for all learning activities

·maintaina classroom environment that is conducive to learning

·administerschool-wide assessments and use data to inform instruction

·identifyand select instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs

·userelevant educational and/or assistive technology to support instruction

·observeand evaluate student's performance and development

·gradeclasswork, tests, and assignments and provide appropriate feedback

·encourageand monitor the progress of individual students

·maintainaccurate and complete records of students' progress and development

·updateall necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, districtpolicies, and school regulations

·preparerequired reports as requested by the school administration

·managestudent behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules andprocedures

·maintaindiscipline following the directions and disciplinary systems of the school

·participatein department and school meetings, parent meetings, and professionaldevelopment

·communicatenecessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regardingstudent progress and student needs

·keepupdated with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methodsand make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities

·adhereto CCA school policies and procedures

JobSkills & Requirements:

·Bachelor'sdegree in English or related field

·SouthCarolina State Certification

PreferredQualifications:Master's degree in secondary education or related field; Experience withNorthwest Evaluation Association (NWEA)
