This position requires a Clinical Data Management/Database Architect Lead with specific qualifications. The minimum requirements include being a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or alternatively holding a Master's in Public Health (MPH). Additionally, the staff supporting this role should possess RHIA and RHIT credentials from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Clinical Data Management/Database Architect Lead Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage the collection, organization, and maintenance of clinical data in databases, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Design and maintain databases to effectively store and manage clinical data, considering factors such as scalability, security, and performance.
  • Develop and implement procedures for ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical data, including data validation and cleaning processes.
  • Establish and enforce data standards and best practices to promote consistency and interoperability across systems and databases.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to integrate clinical data management systems with other healthcare IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Supervise and mentor staff members supporting clinical data management activities, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and credentials.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives related to data management and inform decision-making with insights derived from clinical data analysis.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in clinical data management and database architecture, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, researchers, IT professionals, and data analysts.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of research studies by providing expertise in data management and analysis.
  • Address technical issues and challenges related to database performance, data integrity, and system functionality, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Promote data governance principles and practices within the organization, advocating for policies that safeguard the privacy and security of clinical data.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and educational sessions on clinical data management best practices, database architecture, and relevant regulations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Clinical Data Management/Database Architect Lead Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Minimum Qualification: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Master’s in Public Health (MPH) supported by staff with RHIA and RHIT credentials from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
  • Lead within a healthcare organization, requiring expertise in both clinical data management and database architecture, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into database structures and functionalities.
  • Stay abreast of regulations and standards related to clinical data management and ensure compliance with relevant laws such as HIPAA and GDPR.
