Senior Web Application Developer - Administrator

This position requires an active Secret Clearance.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Application Developer/Administrator to lead the development and administration of web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in technologies such as Entity Framework, MVC Framework, Bootstrap, JavaScript, C#.NET, JQuery, LINQ to SQL, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, and more. Responsibilities include designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications, ensuring security and integrity, and collaborating with project team members. A Security Plus certification and active Secret Clearance are required.

Senior Web Application Developer - Administrator Responsibilities Include: 

• Configures and maintains Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) application server software.
• Leads the development of web-based software applications utilizing Entity Framework, MVC Framework, Bootstrap, JAVA script, C#.NET, JQuery, LINQ to SQL, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, and other web technologies.
• Maintains and administers Web server and middleware tools used to develop Web database systems and frameworks
• Strong collaboration skills required with Project Team Members.
• Design, develop, modify, maintain, document and enhance new as well as existing web based applications, modules and tools.
• Performs technical planning and testing implementation of internet technologies.
• Monitors the functionality, security, and integrity of deployed internet services.
• Resolves technical problems with current and new applications, as well as Internet services.
• Researches and evaluates new technologies for web-based application development.
• Assist in architecting and implementation of a robust, secure authentication/authorization system for internal and external applications.
• Provides documentation and training materials for internal and external users.
• Assist in the documentation of new and developed applications.
• Unit / QA testing to insure deployment and application success.
• Assist in review/development of technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff.
• Configures and maintains IIS and Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) application server software.
• Provides all job-related progress reports/technical reports as requested.
• Oversees the scheduling of application development projects; application logs; and notifications.
• Provide technical assistance and participate on proposal writing projects when applicable.
• Attends relevant seminars, scientific conferences, and meetings for the program.
• Ensures that IT programs comply with Federal, DA and MEDCOM regulations and policies.
• Collects and analyzes internet service usage and performance statistics.
• Develops application development and maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), templates and forms.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Senior Web Application Developer - Administrator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• Preferred Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in building Web-based applications/sites, object-oriented design and development in .NET 4.5 Environments. Ability to develop database linked web applications using .net, MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ to SQL, IIS and CAC authorization in a DoD environment.
• Ability to install and administer IIS web services. 
• Ability to lead software development projects. 
• Must possess a Security Plus certification
• Accreditation: Current/active industry certification in web-based application development technology (C#.net; ASP; HTML5) 
• Must have an active Secret Clearance
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
