RN – Dosing Nurse – Southside Health Center
Southside Health Center provides medication-assisted treatment (including methadone and Suboxone) for patients who have opiate addictions. The RN dispenses medication to our patients primarily in the methadone treatment program – monitoring health status, documenting nursing notes, communicating with the Medical Director, and participating as part of the overall treatment team. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position working between 5:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with a rotation of 5:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. every other Saturday. The position also requires an occasional weekly on-call after-hours phone rotation.
**This position is eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of $500. This sign-on bonus is not applicable to internal employees.**

Requirements:
Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
One-year professional clinical nursing experience, family practice experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
An understanding of substance use disorders and recovery
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computers and EHR (electronic health records) and pay close attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Basic Life Support Certification
Responsibilities:
Dispense medication accurately and efficiently to the patients in the methadone program
Perform ongoing assessment, problem identification, and follow-up as is necessary – using clinical and organizational knowledge
Document as needed in electronic medical records
Coordinate patient care with the medical neighborhood
Work collaboratively with other staff to provide high quality, sensitive, and culturally competent care
Participate in the weekly case conferences to develop and support patient treatment plans
Perform other duties as assigned
