Director of Nursing / Charge Nurse – FULL TIME – TUES thru SAT – NO OVERNIGHTS – NO HOLIDAYS

Director of Nursing / Charge Nurse sought for Cherry Hill Women’s Center, a state licensed ambulatory surgical center that has delivered excellence in abortion and reproductive healthcare for over 45 years, always at the forefront of best practices in our field. Our team members are committed to advocating and caring for people seeking legal, safe, compassionate and respectful abortion care, in addition to assistance for adoption services and prenatal care.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care and staff support including RN roles:
  • Pre-procedure medical assessment
  • Recovery Room nursing
  • Participating in training of student nurses
• Supports clinical oversight of the nursing and medical staff.
• Assists in orientation and training programs for new employees.
• Assists in creation and upkeep of policies and procedures that govern clinical services

Candidates with IV insertion experience and fluently bilingual preferred. Prior supervision and management experience preferred.

The ideal DON / Charge Nurse candidate must possess:

• Strong communication skills
• Excellent patient care skills
• Intermediate computer skills (EHR experience preferred)
• Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted
• Active New Jersey RN license
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
• 2 years of RN clinical experience
• Holds high standards, attention to detail and a commitment to CHWC’s mission and core values
• The talents to lead a team with respect and a sense of humor
