Our client’s National Account Manager position is open to help fuel the company’s continued growth goals.

You are:

  • A coachable and trainable business development sales person, who has a track record of finding and selling 5-6 figure capital equipment sales (and can prove it) - our average sale is $50,000
  • Not afraid of picking up the phone to prospect and speaking with the actual decision maker
  • Experienced with 3-6 month sales cycle, and know how to manage the entire sales process, from prospecting thru post-sale account management
  • Building strong relationships, and receiving introductions to prospects at new locations
  • Able to ask difficult questions, to uncover true buying motives
  • Able to differentiate value and not sell on price (Cherry’s is rarely the least expensive)

You Must:

  • Have a proven track record of selling custom and semi-custom engineered solutions to warehousing and engineering
  • Have experience selling in longer sales cycles, 3-6 months (the average sales cycle is just over 100 days)
  • Be willing to prospect daily via the telephone, additionally thru nurture marketing campaigns
  • Know how to get introductions and referrals at multiple locations within a company
  • Be diligent in logging and entering your conversations, notes, and details into our CRM
  • Write your territory sales plan, and execute the approved plan
  • Uncover issues, problems, and pains thru consultative selling
  • Be rejection proof
  • Grow existing accounts (new locations and new products) while prospecting totally new accounts within your assigned industries territory
  • Work minimum 2 days per week, in-person at our client’s Roselle, IL location after the ramp-up and on-boarding period

You Will:

  • Generate New Sales Opportunities: Calling Fortune 500 companies and selling our pallet inverters, retrievers, and other material handling equipment (not forklifts) thru self-generated leads, as well as company generated leads to achieve monthly sales goals.
  • Prospecting and qualifying leads: You will have assigned industries for you to prospect, and will have assigned accounts to manage and grow - in addition to your self generated opportunities
  • Create and Expand Relationships: Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with prospects and customers so that you’re not just a “one and done” transaction
  • Uphold margin
  • Manage your pipeline: Utilizing our CRM, you will manage your pipeline effectively. Each opportunity will have next steps, dates, and movement.
  • Be expected to travel up to 30% overnight

Compensation:

This position is a base plus commission opportunity. The anticipated base salary for the right candidate is about $90,000. Commission is based on the gross profit percentage of the sale.

First year total on target earnings (base plus commission) is expected to be about $135,000.
