Chesapeake Region Safety Council is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Baltimore, MD

Job DescriptionThis function is responsible for oversight and direct management of the operations of the Company, in direct support of the Company's organizational goals and mission: “To Educate and Influence People to Prevent Accidental Injury and Death.”
  • Lead and manage for accountability of all direct reports
  • Embrace and follow all EOS activities (Rocks, Scorecards, To-dos, etc…)
  • Contribute to management level decisions regarding organizational development and coordination of staff and resources in support of Company's business needs.
  • Oversight of all operational activities and develop and implement the workflow processes of each major program.
  • High level communications with IT provider and working with other Directors to ensure consistent and constant information flow of all IT activities.
  • Manage the identification of all functions and features of the Course Management System (CMS) ensuring the most efficient and innovative add-ons for staff and customer journey.
  • Manager of Salesforce account to add and delete users and authorize access to needed functions.
  • Work with the Director of Training & Consultation, provide the administrative oversite of all courses offered through each major program.
  • Classroom management at Company training facility.
  • Oversight of Company general business and administrative operations to include selection and procurement of related course materials, equipment, and other resources.
  • Oversight of Company's customer service process.
  • Participate in weekly meetings as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Schedule and conducts weekly meetings with all direct reports.
  • Complete quarterly conversations with all direct reports
  • Assist and attend the Annual Expo & Conference.
  • Participate in annual performance appraisal with Vice President/Integrator.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisal with all direct reports.
  • Assume oversight/responsibility for other related programs and Company initiatives as needed or developed.
  • Participate in the development of budgets, projections and monitoring of general business and educational program costs.
  • Assist, attend and travel to conferences that support Company’s mission.
  • Education/Experience:
  • 4-yr. college degree with Business Management or related field focus preferred.
  • Minimum Five (5) years business management experience including staff management.
  • Experience in Occupational Safety and Health field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered to meet qualifications.
  • Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven business development, budget administration and operational management skills and experience, including inter-department and staff management
  • Advanced written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, as well as language skills appropriate to oral presentations and classroom instruction are essential.
  • Excellent public relations skills and ability to create/maintain strong working relationship with internal staff, customers, vendors, governmental and other agencies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer and related software, including MSOffice suite, and other business or industry software/program knowledge.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of occupational safety standards, industry practices and trends preferred.
