iladelphia, PA * Wyndmoor, PA As the first point of contact for our patients, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for, but not limited to: * Answering phones * Checking voicemails and returning patient calls * Scheduling/Rescheduling appointments and maintaining appointment calendars * Collecting patient information, and ensuring that each patient has the proper documentation entered into their chart * Check insurance eligibility (experience with Pear, Availity, NaviNet, etc...) * Collecting copayments, deductibles, and balances * Checking the faxes and assigning correspondences to appropriate patient chart/physician * Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner * Checking office webmail *Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred to help assist with Allergy injections, office visits, vitals, and testing* Requirements: - Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of medical office procedures - Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred - Familiarity with eClinical Works (EMR) preferred - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Joining our team as a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare setting, utilizing your skills to provide exceptional patient care.
