Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company (a Chevron U.S.A. Inc. division) is Hiring a Maintenance Representative Near Midland, TX

Total Number of Openings 1 Analyzes, assesses, and improves asset integrity, reliability, and effectiveness of preventative and predictive maintenance based on data collected through Inspection, Testing and Maintenance program activity. Performs/participates in inspections, reliability incidents investigations, rotating equipment reliability analyses, optimizations, and mechanical integrity reviews; incorporates findings into the asset care strategy. Supports medium sized clients/customers and makes significant contributions to more complex projects under periodic supervision. General knowledge of the work function and Chevron’s practices. Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Maintenance Representative through 6/24/2024 at 11:59 p.m. (CST) This position is responsible for supervising and assisting installation and repair crews in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of surface production equipment; writing permits; job scoping and planning and supervising permit jobs. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices as described in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual, maintaining a safe working environment, and being prepared to respond to an environmental or safety event. • Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to scope and plan work • Provide oversight during tasks deemed critical to ensure incident-free operations • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to create work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization. • Supervise permit work such as isolation of hazardous energy, confined space entry, trenching and shoring, lifting and rigging, SIMOPS, etc. • Work closely with Field Specialist and helps troubleshoot problems with surface equipment. • Serve as Competency Management System subject matter expert regarding production operations and surface equipment. • Serve as relief for the Maintenance Planner. • Assure all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements. • Drives on a routine basis and available to travel outside of home-base area as business needs dictate. • Will be on-call in a rotating fashion, responding to priority, break-in work as business needs dictate • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • At least two years operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries, including experience with regulations and the maintenance and testing requirements associated with related safety devices. • Must live within 50 miles of the work location and possess a valid driver’s license. Company vehicle may be available for commute. • Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime based on work activity. Preferred Qualifications: • Associates of Applied Science degree in Petroleum Technology, Process Technology or related technology. • Four plus years operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries, including experience with regulations and the maintenance and testing requirements associated with related safety devices. • In depth understanding of upstream facilities including, but not limited to: separation, pumping, gathering, tankage, lact sales, metering, and compression. • Broad knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and maintain major oil and gas production facility process systems including: mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and production equipment. • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), CMMS and the ability to understand new software packages. • Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision. • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers. • Ability to manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
