Chevron Phillips is Hiring a Repair specialist Near Cedar, TX

Purpose / Introduction

This position has a strategic, long-term focus on improving the quality of repairs while maintaining interaction with day-to-day work and communication with the Maintenance and Operations organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality machinery repair for the Cedar Bayou facility
  • Creates and maintains a list of quality repair plans for various equipment types
  • Creates and maintains a list of qualified external repair facilities with information on the capabilities of different types of machinery repair
  • Performs shop audits on external repair facilities to ensure they meet internal standards
  • Interfaces with corporate QA / QC contacts to provide input into Quality programs being developed and ensure Cedar Bayou is meeting corporate standards
  • Maintains schedule with offsite machinery repairs and reports progress to Maintenance and Operations on anticipated return to the site
  • Ensures hold points are communicated and followed for Rotating Equipment Reliability (Analyst or Engineer) witnessing on both in-house and external repairs
  • Ensures proper documentation on machinery repair is reported and stored in APM
  • Works with Cedar Bayou millwrights and machine shop to build in-house competency and capacity in machinery repair
  • Supports development of QA / QC documentation for site turnarounds
  • Consults on work scope for repairs as requested by area Rotating Equipment Reliability Analyst or Engineer

Required Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of experience with Machinery Repair and Quality Plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to serve a broad range of company employees, plant leaders, project teams, and engineering contractors
