Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as this role will lead analyses, share findings with business teams, and drive strategies that promote favorable financial and customer experience outcomes. This individual is highly proficient in developing and executing cross-functional project plans while being able to operate with minimal direction from leadership.
What You'll Do
- Lead insights generation by delivering clear, written narratives that use data to tell stories and offer recommendations to improve business performance
- Lead development of KPIs and best-in-class measurement frameworks for evaluating customer engagement with Chewy’s Healthcare Services across digital and physical platforms.
- Build reports and analytics tools that continuously improve Chewy’s measurement of customer acquisition, retention, feature engagement, and financials from various product offerings
- Program manage cross-functional initiatives which require development of new data sources and changes to existing data infrastructure and analytics products
- Partner with business analysts and data engineering teams to prioritize, QA, and release new data tables, metrics, and analytics solutions
- Coach and develop business analysts
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics or a related degree with analytics and quantitative emphasis.
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience analyzing data and delivering business insights
- Strong leadership skills with minimum of 3 years managing analysts or data engineers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to translate analyses into business actions and quantified impact
- Advanced Excel skills (data connections, complex formulas, pivot tables; VBA is a nice-to-have)
- High degree of proficiency in SQL and thorough understanding of database architecture
- Strong data visualization skills Tableau or complementary visualization tools
- High degree of proficiency interpreting business metrics, executing complex analyses, and connecting multiple data sources to explain business performance
- Proven experience independently managing cross-functional projects, delivering results on tight timelines with minimal direction from leadership
- Proficiency with Ecommerce customer & site analytics data sets (e.g. customer journeys, conversion funnels, feature measurement) along with marketing, pricing, assortment, and fulfillment strategies
- Thorough understanding of Financial KPIs and P&L statement
- Superior attention to detail and proven ability to deliver data with integrity
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with speed and commitment to high quality
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
