A Day in the Life of a TeleSitter Monitor Technician:
This position provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients on the Telesitter Device. Patients must be monitored for their safety while on the device. The first line of action will be to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in any at risk behaviors. Next will be to summon the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
Here Is What You Will Be Doing:
ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
SITTER: May monitor patients via department cameras or be assigned to provide 1:1 observation for patient safety. Receives report from PSA/CNA and primary nurse, including reason for requiring additional observation, appropriate interventions, and any other pertinent information relevant to the safety of the patient. Appropriately documents and notifies nursing staff of patient activity/behaviors.
