Saint Joseph Mount Sterling is a not-for-profit faith-based hospital located in Mount Sterling Kentucky. The hospital was founded in 1918-formerly known as Mary Chiles Hospital-and now serves as a 42-bed community hospital for the residents of Bath Bourbon Clark Menifee Montgomery Nicholas Powell and Rowan counties. CHI Saint Joseph Health supports 5000 active employees 8 hospitals specialty clinics and a Medical Group with more than 200 locations across Central and Eastern KY. Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures of a moderately and highly complex nature, following established standards and practices to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provide direct care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent education Completion of accredited training program

Required Licensure and Certifications

MLT (ASCP), or equivalent certification.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the Associate Handbook and all hospital policies.
