As our NICU Nurse at CHI Health's Lakeside Hospital, you'll monitor the complex medical needs of sick and preterm infants. You'll provide compassionate care, serving as their advocate; supporting their best interests when they cannot.

You'll clinically care for your patients, remaining focused and attentive, as you continuously monitor them throughout your shift. About Us
The Neonatal Intensive Care team at Lakeside cares for babies born as early as 30 weeks. Our specially-designed environment helps premature babies grow stronger every day. Our NICU offers physical, occupational and speech therapy, and registered dietitians develop individualized eating programs based on each baby's nutritional needs.Our experienced team includes board-certified OB/GYN physicians who are onsite through the night and 24/7 on weekends/holidays.
Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care. This will involve utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients families on prevention and healthy habits.
What You'll Do
- Monitor patients conditions and assess their needs.
- Educate parents on various interventions or procedures medications (name and purpose) exams etc.
- Assess newborns and provide care.
- Communicate with the care management team.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
We are offering a $20,000 Sign on Bonus and up to $10,000 in student loan repayment assistance to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of one year of NICU RN experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Specialty certification NRP required within 5 months of hire.
- Additional certification or licensure may be required upon hire
