The payroll administrator position is an integral part of the accounting team. This position is responsible for managing the payroll process for all our employees. Successful candidates should have the ability to work independently with a focus on accuracy.
Responsibilities
· Manage multiple payroll processes across the organization using multiple time and attendance platforms through centralized accounting software for final payroll
· Print and prepare checks for distribution across the organization
· Ensure that timely entries are made to ensure accurate payroll including but not limited to: pay rate changes, insurance deductions and reimbursements
· Process garnishments and child support orders according to Washington State Law
· Produce accurate and time year-end tax files including federal filing and employee W-2 forms
· Ensure proper filing of 401(k) deposits and taxes within set guidelines
· Communicate with internal business partners including Controller, CFO, Human Resources, managers and supervisors when necessary, in order to timely produce payroll
· Assist with other projects as necessary
Qualifications
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in related field preferred
· 3-5 years experience in payroll is required, agricultural experience is preferred
· Experience with Famous Software is preferred
· Excellent attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially a proficiency in Excel
This position reports to the Controller and is a salaried non-exempt position with a complete benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and vacation.
