Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual properties and the overall real estate portfolio.
  • Provide financial analysis and variance reports to management.
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of property budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and provide explanations for variances.
  • Record and track rental income, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Work with property managers to ensure lease terms are properly reflected in financial records.
  • Review and process property-related expenses, including utilities, maintenance, and property taxes.
  • Analyze cost trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial information for audits.
  • Respond to tenant inquiries related to financial matters.
  • Collaborate with property management to address tenant billing issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is often preferred.
  • Previous experience in property accounting or real estate finance is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with real estate industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is prefered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
