Child Care Resource Center is Hiring a Facilities Space Planner Near Chatsworth, CA

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Within a team environment, this position will perform the following responsibilities:
Space Management and Forecasting 60%
Support for Moves/Logistics 20%
Occupancy Validation Support 20%
Job Specifications
Minimum Required
  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Planning, Design or other relevant field and 2 years of experience in similar design services, corporate interiors and/or workplace operations;
  • Or a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 4 years of experience in similar design services, corporate interiors and/or workplace operations;
  • Or any combination of education and experience that will enable a candidate to successfully perform the functions of the job.
  • Professional/Technical Certifications : CAD
  • Technical Requirements :
    • Working knowledge and experience with computer programs, such as space planning software, work order tracking, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio or other graphics software.
    • An understanding of compliance related regulations to include: Fire and building codes, ADA requirements, Audits and Inspections.
    • Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft office suite, PowerPoint, etc. (Advance knowledge a plus.)
  • Bilingual Required : n/a
  • Behavioral:
    • Excellent organizational skills; working knowledge of general office procedures.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills including; the ability to honor and maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, the public, and vendors; work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with building management company and others responsible for the facility maintenance and safety.
    • Complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
    • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter; quick learner for a multifaceted business.
    • Must possess strong organizational, problem-solving skills with multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
    • Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies and procedures, including professional behavior, attendance and dress code.
  • Travel : Hold and maintain current auto insurance, current California Driver's License and DMV clearance required to be an approved driver for CCRC, whether driving own or CCRC vehicle. Minimal travel required within CA. Travel to Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties 10%. Travel to Sacramento annually.
  • Work Schedule : Full time. Must be available to work Monday thru Friday and occasionally Saturday's depending on assigned projects.
  • Work environment: Onsite. Primarily office work environment, some manual / physical work, sometimes indoors or outdoors.
