Child Garden is a Montessori Preschool and Child Care center located in the beautiful Loring Park neighborhood near downtown Minneapolis. We cater to children between the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years by providing a warm and nurturing atmosphere that fosters independence and supports the healthy growth of the child.

Role Description

We have openings for Childcare Assistants, both full and part-time shifts, supporting lead teachers in caring for and educating children. The role requires assisting in daily tasks such as engaging children in activities, monitoring playtime, helping with meals and naptimes, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to collaborate well with supervisors, fellow staff, parents, and children.

Qualifications

• Strong listening and interpersonal skills
• Excellent hygiene practices
• Creativity skills to develop exciting activities and lessons for children
• Previous experience in licensed childcare
• Able to take direction well and aid in the implementation of Montessori methodology
• Enjoy working with children
• A degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
