Child Guidance Resource is Hiring a Psychiatric Support Administrator Near Havertown, PA

The Psychiatric Support Administrator develops and monitors a comprehensive service plan for client and family and coordinates prescriber’s recommendations pertaining to medication, refill requests, concerns, and any other questions that arise from client and families. The position handles incoming/outgoing calls, interfacing with clients, data entry, and filing.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Manage medical team schedules one day prior to appointments.
  • Attempt to schedule any "emergency" or wait listed clients if cancellations are noted.
  • Notify medical team of any client scheduled who may have special circumstances
  • Ensure lab or any medical testing requested by medical team at prior appointment is in client chart. Follows up with client on status of any missing labs/reports.
  • Monitor physician voicemail on a regular basis. Troubleshoots and ensures client calls are triaged and resolved.
  • Attend Psychiatry Team Meetings on a regular basis.
  • Assist medical team with electronic health record documentation/charting requirements.
  • Coordinate and obtain medical team signatures on all required documentation (electronic and paper). Complete daily with available medical team, preferably during a cancellation/no show slot.
  • Respond to insurance inquiries, authorization issues, and other requests on behalf of the medical team, as appropriate.
  • Submit all required prior authorization information to insurance company.
  • Respond to requests for additional information from insurance companies, even after prior authorization has been submitted, to the fullest extent prior to having physician involvement.
  • Serve as primary contact for all client calls to medical team.
  • Facilitate peer review process for the medical team.
