Your new role

The Finance Assistant is responsible for recording the company’s financial data and maintaining accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, and various other accounts, including monthly reconciliations. On a monthly basis, you will prepare and maintain QuickBooks accounting records for the company. You will also be required to help with creating/proofing invoices, sending payments (including international wire transfers), and helping with other banking queries as needed. Additionally, you will be tasked with assisting the Finance Manager in maintaining robust financial controls and meeting the monthly accounting close cycle. You and the Finance Manager will work closely with our sales and operations team to ensure customer booking data and accounting accuracy, (including customer monies, revenues and refund credit notes) while also recording accruals and prepayments and assisting with the payroll process.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• Two years minimum experience in related role

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability and desire to work in a close-knit environment

• Experience with QuickBooks highly desirable

• Knowledge of ADP a plus but not required

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc)
