Children and Family Dentistry is Hiring a Traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant Near Springfield, MA

** UP TO $10,000.00 A YEAR TRAVEL BONUS**

Part time and Full time hours available!

We are seeking a self-motivated, knowledgeable, and dedicated Traveling Orthodontic Assistant for our busy dental practice. Our office strives to ensure that adequate access to dental care is available for patients of all ages, demographics, and dental needs.

Candidate must be willing and able to travel between our near by locations.

Traveling Orthodontic Assistant Qualifications:
**Candidates must have an active MA Dental Assisting License**

Orthodontic Dental Assistant Pay & Benefits:

Orthodontic Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of all doctor systems and assisting processes.
  • Bringing patients from check-in to the operating rooms
  • Breaking down and setting up rooms prior to treatment
  • Preparing patients for procedures by getting x-rays, setting up instruments, etc.
  • Giving doctors assistance during procedures when needed Under direct supervision complete child prophylaxis, fluoride application, taking dental x-rays
  • Supporting doctors in recording procedural codes in the information system
  • Materials Management
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of all equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Stocking supplies and replenishment of treatment areas
  • Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Cleaning, sterilization and storage of instruments
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and instruments
  • Cleaning and maintaining treatment room and staff lounge areas
  • Collection and preparation for disposal of medical waste

Office Participation & Professionalism:

  • Be kind and courteous to patients, staff, doctors, and others
  • Be an active participant in staff meetings
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Orthodontist or manager
  • Take initiative to identify and execute ways to continually improve individual and practice performance
  • To the extent possible, help others perform their tasks when overloaded or backed up or to otherwise increase the operational and emotional performance of the practice
