Children Home Society is Hiring a Program Supervisor - Exchange Parent Aide Program Near Trenton, NJ
Overview:
Work Location: Home Based
The EPA intervention is an evidence-supported service model forming part of a comprehensive, statewide family support services continuum that will provide supportive and educational in-home services for parents/caregivers. EPA will provide parents/caregivers with individualized family support, effective parenting skills and strategies, and teach them about enhanced social connections, social-emotional competency, child safety, and child development.
The Program Manager/Supervisor will play an important role in supporting and enhancing our EPA Program including the focus on delivering direct services to families in need. Core responsibilities include overseeing a team of Parent Aides and a Care Manager and ensuring seamless EPA program operations. The Program Manager/Supervisor will provide reflective supervision to support the professional development and well-being of our Parent Aides and Care Manager. In addition, the role will involve providing specialized support to employees with lived experience along with cultivating a supportive and inclusive work environment for the agency. By leveraging their expertise in program management and dedication to supporting families and team members alike, they will contribute significantly to the success and impact of the EPA in-home parenting support Initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Support Parent Aide Program:
Team with the Office of Family Preservation and Reunification Services (FPR) and other DCF offices as needed to develop and implement EPA program policies and procedures.
Coordinate EPA program activities and ensure adherence to program goals and objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships within the community, including Division of Child Permanency and Protection(DCP&P).
Monitor EPA program outcomes and evaluate effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
Provide Direct Service to Families:
Review initial referrals to understand family background, needs and specific reasons for referral. Assign Parent Aide based on best match for the family.
Oversee Parent Aides and Care Manager:
Recruit, hire, and train Parent Aides and Care Manager.
Facilitate ongoing reflective supervision, coaching, and support to Parent Aides and Care Manager to ensure quality service delivery and opportunities for professional growth.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a collaborative team environment among Parent Aides and Care Manager.
Offer specialized support and mentorship to employees who have personal experience with the challenges faced by program participants.
Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.
In collaboration with the Parent Aide and Care Manager, conduct intake assessment to determine family needs and goals which informs the development of the individualized service plans in collaboration with families.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Early Childhood or the equivalent or related experience in the field of Early Childhood with a minimum of three years of case management, home visiting experience, mental health experience or work with at-risk families.
