Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County is Hiring a Development Coordinator Near Hoffman, IL

Job Title: Development Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Development

This position works closely with the Director of Development to achieve annual fundraising goals. Primary responsibilities include managing CAC events, overseeing the donor database, gift entries, donor acknowledgments and general stewardship. This role supports the development team with solicitations and community engagement. This is a hybrid position with at least two days a week in person.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee donor database (Donor Perfect), which includes maintaining accurate donor records and ensuring data integrity.
  • Oversee gift processing, entry, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Execute donor stewardship plan, including donor receipts, acknowledgments and stewardship touchpoints.
  • Manage CAC event coordination including committee, vendor and volunteer management, event plans and budgets, financial tracking and day-of support.
  • Relaunch CAC’s Emerging Leaders young professionals’ group and serve as staff liaison:

o Provide direction to align groups’ activities with needs of the CAC 

o Attend necessary meetings and maintain regular communication

o Provide event support, including tracking financials and logistics 

  • Oversee volunteer program including recruiting, application process, available opportunities, assigning day-of point person and tracking hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; with at least two years of related experience.
  • Experience in fundraising, logistical coordination and project management for high-visibility activities is preferred.
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize, take initiative and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Database management experience preferred (Donor Perfect).
  • Ability to gather data, analyze information and prepare reports.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Required to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and tours.
