Children's Aid College Prep Charter School is Hiring an Operations Assistant CACPCS MS (SY24-25) Near Bronx, NY

Mission:

The Children’s Aid College Prep Charter School (CACPCS) is a community school whose mission is to prepare students for success in school and in life by providing them with a rigorous instructional experience, addressing their physical, emotional and social needs, fostering a sense of pride and hope, and serving as a safe and engaging community hub.

The Children’s Aid College Prep Charter School (CACPCS) (Morissania section of the Bronx, NY)

Operations Assistant Position Description:

The Operations Assistant is a critical member of the administrative team, primarily responsible for ensuring efficient daily school operations. S/he will provide direct operational support to the Operations Manager. The Operations Assistant will be able to work at a high level in a dynamic, fast-paced school environment.

Specific responsibilities:

As an employee of the Children’s Aid College Prep Charter School, s/he works under the daily supervision of the Operations Manager. The Operations Assistant will be expected to do the following:

  • Perform front office clerical duties;
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student files;
  • Maintain accurate inventory of technology within the school building and ensure IT requests are tended to;
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all school and office supplies;
  • Create and coordinate accurate daily bus schedules for scholars;
  • Handle high volume of purchase requests;
  • Distribute purchased materials to appropriate staff in a timely manner;
  • Use tools and resources to support members of the school community on a daily basis;
  • Support with different facets of the annual school lottery;
  • Other duties as required by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar operational position
  • Proficient in administrative and school support
  • Highly organized to meet logistical demands, ranging from transportation to preparing for school-wide events
  • Mission driven with a passion for providing quality education
  • Willingness to adapt to different operational functions as required
  • Relentlessly goal oriented with excellent follow-through
  • Professionalism, sound judgment, foresight, flexibility and maturity
  • Ability to work independently and creatively in order to handle multiple tasks with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter
  • Consistent high performer

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
