Who We Are
Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute (cc-TDI) is a non-profit childhood cancer research lab dedicated to making childhood cancer universally survivable.

Since 2015, cc-TDI has been at the forefront of scientific discovery, pushing the boundaries to send more targeted drugs into clinical trials for underserved childhood cancers with the most dire outcomes. Our multidisciplinary team of biologists, biomedical engineers, and data scientists use state-of-the-art techniques to identify cancer cell targets and determine how to deliver safe and effective lifesaving treatments. Since 1978, the FDA has approved only 13 drugs to treat childhood cancer. However, cc-TDI has already pushed two drugs into three clinical trials since 2015, with the goal of making five drugs available for children via trials every year. Our ambitious plans are supported by an incredible team dedicated to making this vision a reality.

The Opportunity
As the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our organization’s operations. Working closely with the Executive Director and leadership team, you will contribute to the long-term vision and strategic plan of cc-TDI. This role involves managing all aspects of internal operations, scaling administrative support functions, and enabling our research team to achieve their goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Procurement, Shipping, and Receiving: Ensuring seamless acquisition and distribution of materials.
• Finance: Handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, reconciliations, accurately maintaining finance system, and supporting the Finance Director with day-to-day financial management.
• People Operations: Managing payroll/ADP administration, time tracking, benefits administration, and employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Technology: Overseeing the management of software systems and ensuring secure employee access.
• Operational Support for Development: Partnering with development staff to record, track, and recognize financial and in-kind gifts appropriately

About You
You are an enthusiastic and driven professional with a passion for making a difference. Your skills and experience include:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in business operations, finance, or related roles, with a proven track record in designing and implementing process and systems improvements.
• Skills: Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, and project management skills, with a strong ability to analyze end-to-end business processes and implement best practices.
• Attributes: Results-oriented, self-motivated, attention to detail, and comfortable in dynamic environments. You have a knack for translating strategy into action, creatively solving problems, and managing multiple priorities.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office applications, Google Suite, financial software such as QuickBooks, and fundraising/CRM software such as Kindful.
• Commitment: A deep commitment to the mission and values of cc-TDI and the flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
