Children's Factory is Hiring a Floating Production Lead Near Union, MO

FLOATING PRODUCTION LEAD

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Overtime may required during busy season, including some Saturdays

PAY FREQUENCY: Weekly Pay

JOB SUMMARY

The Floating Production Lead is an hourly department leader responsible for providing support and backup for multiple departments on the production floor. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of various production processes and the ability to step into any department as needed to ensure efficient and safe production. The Floating Production Lead must be adaptable, possess strong problem-solving skills, and maintain high-quality standards across all departments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple production departments and processes.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across various departments and functions.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance, arriving on time and prepared for all shifts, meetings, and appointments.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS, AND BEHAVIORS include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide support and backup for multiple departments on the production floor as needed to meet production schedules and targets.
  • Quickly adapt to different departmental processes and ensure that production within the assigned area meets quality standards.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members across various departments to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Coordinate with department leads and other teams to ensure smooth production flow and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports as required for different departments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment across all departments.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement in every department.
  • Take ownership of production outcomes in any department where support is provided and be accountable for achieving results.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and adaptability in responding to changing priorities and production demands across multiple departments.

Work Environment:

The role primarily operates in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to loud noises, machinery, and varying temperatures.

The position may require standing, walking, and moving around the production floor for extended periods.
