Children's Factory is Hiring a Lead, Inbound Receiving and Production (Warehouse and Distribution) Near Union, MO

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Overtime: May be required during busy season; shifts increase on average to 9-10 hours M-F and some Saturdays

Pay Type: Hourly Non-Exempt

Pay Frequency: Weekly Pay

Job Summary:

The Lead, Inbound Receiving and Production plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our warehouse by overseeing the inbound receiving process, managing product returns, inventory replenishment and driving production efficiencies. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and safety, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address opportunities for process improvement.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or related field.
  • Prior experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting.
  • Previous experience in managing RMA processes and production operations.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office programs and basic computer skills.

Essential Responsibilities, Expectations, And Behaviors Include (But Are Not Limited To) the Following:

Inbound Receiving:

  • Manage receivers to quickly and accurately receive inbound POs to avoid production delays, shipping delays, fees, and maintain accurate inventory quantities.
  • Ensure product aisles in the warehouse are kept clear and all product is promptly put away into a specific location.
  • Communicate with QA to ensure all compliance testing is completed promptly.
  • Oversee the product returns process, including accurate receiving, assessment of product, and communication with customer service.
  • Make recommendations to the Inventory Manager regarding damaged goods.
  • Manage a pre-boxing process for complex or challenging to-box products, ensuring efficient and effective packaging solutions.
  • Supervise production operations, including overseeing work orders, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of returned productions, quality assessments and production activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members involved in RMA, production, receiving and replenishment processes.
  • Ensure inventory replenishments are completed accurately, on time, and efficiently.

Warehouse Safety:

  • Communicate with Supervisors and Leads on safety hazards in the warehouse.
  • Champion 5S by providing feedback to Supervisors, Leads, and team members on best practices.
  • Perform regular 5S audits.
  • Ensure product is safely stored in warehouse locations.
  • Identify and create a plan of action to correct safety concerns regarding product stored in warehouse locations that cause pallets to be unstable.

Working Conditions:

The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities:

  • Able to lift, bend, stand, and stretch frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Regular use of PC, laptop, copier, fax, and other general office equipment.
  • Ability to access all areas of the facility to perform essentials functions of the position.
  • Noise level for this environment is low to moderate.
