Cutting Machine Operator

SCHEDULE : Monday-Friday, 6 : 30 AM - 3 : 00 PM. Overtime may required during busy season, including some Saturdays

PAY FREQUENCY : Weekly Pay

SALARY : Starting at $17.25

JOB SUMMARY

The Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for responsible for pulling material and operating various cutting machines to precisely cut and process materials according to specifications, scanning markers, and assisting labelers as needed.

This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail, an ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment, and a commitment to contributing to the overall efficiency of the production process.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience operating cutting machines in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CAD software and reading blueprints is a plus.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency in operating cutting machines and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and cutting specifications
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality control
• Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor machine adjustments (preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance, arriving on time and prepared for all shifts, meetings, and appointments.
• Ability to work overtime hours as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS, AND BEHAVIORS include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Set up, operate, and maintain various cutting machines according to established procedures
• Load, feed, and unload materials efficiently
• Ensure all cuts meet precise specifications and dimensions
• Conduct regular quality checks and identify any defects
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Monitor machine performance and report any malfunctions
• Perform basic machine cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and attendance.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform the following physical activities :

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Bending, stooping, and reaching to handle materials and operate equipment.
• Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity for handling small parts and operating machinery.
• Visual acuity for inspecting products and reading written instructions or labels.

Work Environment :

The Cutting Machine Operator primarily works in a fast-paced manufacturing or production facility. The working environment may involve exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and various production materials.

The role may require standing for extended periods and lifting or moving objects weighing up to a certain weight limit. Safety is our top priority, and all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure a safe working environment.
