Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology is Hiring a Claims Payment Resolution Specialist Near Atlanta, GA

Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 60 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Claims-Payment Resolution Specialist provides the proper reconciliation for all related posting transactions including, patient and insurance related payments, adjustments, and denials in an accurately and timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum two years of healthcare data entry experience required.
  • Must have healthcare experience including understanding of medical terminology for billing and coding: EOB’s, ICD-10 and CPT Codes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in 10-Key with no less than 13,500 KPH (50 WPM).
  • Preferred experience with Epic and Waystar.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through discipline.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work clearinghouse errors to resolve rejections.
  • Review and resolve denials in the clearinghouse work lists.
  • Review accounts for accuracy of adjustment posting.
  • Maintain and complete posting, reconciliations and closing of daily payment posting.
  • Reconcile all payments with Accounting Receipts.
  • Review payment and adjustment posting for accuracy on accounts.
  • Manage remittance and credit work queues assigned by manager.
  • Maintain Clearing Accounts on a regular basis.
  • Review and research all credit balances and undistributed payments.
  • Resolve Insurance credits following the most appropriate payer process.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
