- Bachelor of Science in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institutionMedical Technology
- Eligibility to sit for a nationally-recognized certification exam as described in the
- Note: the BSc requirement may be waived with approval from the Laboratory Leadership with a commitment from the new hire to obtain their degree within 6 months of hire.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- No minimally required knowledge, skills, or abilities
- Participates in the basic laboratory activities as assigned by licensed professional personnel using
- Reinforces the education process as related to the testing techniques.
- Communicates information related to job activities, needs, and responsibilities for assigned shift to appropriate personnel.
- Initiates and participates in continuous process improvement of the assigned department.
- Accepts responsibility for own growth, development, and professional conduct.
