Children's Home Society in Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking a Relief Housekeeper to assist in the cleaning and maintenance of designated areas of the facility.
What You'll Do:
- Clean assigned areas according to daily and weekly schedules. Launder linens as assigned.
- Maintain storage areas and cleaning supplies inventory.
- Report needed repairs or safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Attend assigned meetings.
- Professional Development: Participate in required in-service training. Participate in quality improvement activities as assigned.
- Must be able to get important points across, written and oral, and understand the needs of children.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to maximize productive results. Deadlines are met and services expediently delivered.
- Must be able to contribute as a team member so as to promote the achievement of team goals. Cooperatively and respectfully interacts with other team members to encourage positive results.
- Must be able to fulfill the responsibilities of the position with minimal supervision. Makes prudent decisions.
Employees hired will work on an "as needed" basis for day and night shifts with an option of pre-scheduling for some shifts.
Compensation: $20.00/hr up to a $2/hr shift differential

Qualifications
- High school degree required.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires standing for extended periods of time. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals, requiring attentive and safe utilization.
Must successfully complete all required background/pre-employment checks. EEO/AA.
