Job OverviewAssists in daily workflow and procedures in the department of Radiology. This includes escorting and assisting families and patients; set up and cleanup of rooms; supply stocking, organization and other duties that enhance patient and exam flow. This role may provide additional support by answering phones, scheduling, registering, and greeting patients and families.

Qualifications
  • EDUCATION – High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant Diploma and/or Certification preferred.
  • CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR
ResponsibilitiesPOPULATION SPECIFIC CARE
Neonate - <30 days
  • Infancy - >30 days to 1yr
  • Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs
  • Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs
  • School age - >5yrs to 13yrs
  • Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs
  • Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs Essential FunctionsAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
    • Assists technologists with room and patient preparation for radiologic exams.
    • Assists the technologist and radiologist with all aspects of patient care as needed before, during and after the procedure.
    • Promotes high quality patient care using effective communication that explains the radiologic exam and ensures patient comfort and safety.
    • Communicates with other departments and nursing staff to ensure exam coordination and safety.
    • Maintains patient medical records by importing/uploading outside images and processing outside imaging requests.
    • May provide direct patient care by transporting patients throughout the facility and remaining with patients while waiting in exam rooms.
    • Cleans work areas, stock supplies and rounds throughout the department.
    • May serve as additional safety team member in MRI after completing required Level 1 training.

    Salary Information
    Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $30,058.79 to $45,088.19
    Hourly Salary Range: $14.45 to $21.68
