About The PositionThe Jr. Accountant/Data Support will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and data support for internal customers. This may include transforming, transferring, and uploading volumes of information into organizational databases and keeping records current with new data. Updating database records as information becomes available using many different applications. Additionally, this position may help with invoice creation and invoice tracking in support of specific fundraising events. This position will act in many cases as the first line of review, correction, and support before data is verified/finalized by internal fundraising staff. This position will use tools such as Excel and NetSuite to access and reconcile various data touchpoints.
EducationMinimum Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, math, or other specialized training/certification in accounting & data. We will also consider equivalent work experience.
Experience
  • 1-2 years of data reconciliation, data translation, accounting, or related technical experience, which can include time in school
CompetenciesData Management:
  • Basic skills in data collection, organization, and analysis.
  • Experience with data entry and data validation processes.
  • Ability to handle and maintain accurate records of small-medium datasets.

  • Ability to analyze simple financial data and identify basic trends.

Technical Proficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic functions and formulas.

Responsibilities
  • Review and maintain data integrity submitted by partners through internal processes to ensure accuracy and identify duplication, or funds that may not have been recorded.
  • Working in collaboration with the internal stakeholders to communicate and resolve any discrepancies that may have been identified.
  • Work with teams to ensure in-campaign fundraising data is transformed and uploaded as received.
  • Act as the first line of review, correction, and support before data is verified/finalized by internal fundraising staff.
  • Provide excellent support for internal fundraising stakeholders. This will include fielding support calls, chats, emails, and/or other communication from internal stakeholders with inquiries or issues related to supported data.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and/or posting errors as needed.
  • Assist with ad hoc Excel and data support for fundraising teams.
  • Maintain data integrity by performing a comparative analysis of different sources.
  • You will be expected to work from the CMN Hospital's office in Salt Lake City 5 days a week.
  • You may also be expected to:
  • Attend national meetings and conferences.
  • Serve on and attend internal team meetings to collaborate on work.
  • Perform additional data reconciliation, translation, cleaning, and transforming
  • Create and track invoices for fundraising events
