Children's National Medical Center is Hiring a Pharmacy Compliance & Sterile Product Coordinator Near Washington, DC

Description

The Pharmacy Compliance & Sterile Product Coordinator will maintain day-to-day operations of the main pharmacy in adherence with regulatory and legal requirements including USP 797. Will be responsible for operational success and assist to define strategy/direction in accordance with national standards and CNMC policies and procedures.

QualificationsMinimum Education
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
5 years At least 5 years of Pharmacy practice experience (minimum 3 years in a hospital setting). 1 year supervisory or 2 years administration/team leader experience. (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Strong working knowledge of accreditation standard and regulatory requirements from various regulatory agencies. Proficient in compiling and analyzing data to support upper management decision-making.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Pharmacist
Pharmacist Licensure in the District of Columbia .
Functional Accountabilities
Strategic Planning
  • Contribute to the strategic plan for the department services, including short-term and long-term goals.
  • Implement strategic plan to improve compliance measures within the pharmacy department.
  • Ensure organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards.
Compliance Management
  • Provide accurate record keeping of any pharmacy documentation required by regulatory standards.
  • Work with upper management to maintain compliance for all the staff within the pharmacy department.
Quality and Performance Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in compliance and safety.
  • Work with upper management to prepare and update compliance policies and procedures.
  • Work with upper management to collect and analyze compliance data and create improvement plans as needed.
