General Purpose of Position (Full job description will be provided upon interview)

To be a direct liaison for all relative and non-relative caregivers. The kinship navigator will provide support to all kinship caregivers by ensuring that all caregivers have the required resources to meet each child’s physical, emotional, financial, and basic needs.

Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Certification

¨ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, A.A. degree preferred;

¨ Minimum one (1) year of child welfare or family support related experience;

¨ Must have a working knowledge of community services and resources in our local five (5) county area.

¨ Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities are a must.

¨ The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships is also a must.

Certificates, License, Registrations, background checks, drug screens

Ø Valid driver’s license required, and clean driver’s license check is required, with proof of insurance

Ø No special certification or registration is required for this position

Ø Drug Screening is required

Ø E-Verify (US Citizenship Verification) is required

Ø Criminal background screening mandatory (Local Law/FBI/FDLE)
