Your Mission:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director of Human Resources to oversee and drive HR initiatives, policies, and programs that support our organizational goals and foster a positive work environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will play a key role in employee engagement, policy development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Your Impact:

As an Associate Director of Human Resources, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensure timely HR reporting, and recommend policies, practices, and procedures. Establish best practices and standard HR operating procedures.
  • Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc reports on employee personnel information, including benefits costs, staffing levels, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc. Utilize HR systems effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support overall business objectives.
  • Assist the VP of HR with payroll, benefits, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Manage employee relations, including resolving conflicts, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Plan, direct, and supervise all activities related to the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefits programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness, and internal equity.
  • Stay informed on federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management, identifying trends that could affect organizational objectives. Interpret laws and policies, advising management, employees, and retirees accordingly.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, including new employee orientation, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion training.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor employees in the HR department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle employee relation issues, discipline, and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Must Haves

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.

Nice to Haves

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) current certification is strongly preferred.
  • Prior policy creation and benefits management experience preferred.
  • Multilingual competency preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Environment and Scheduling:

  • Work is performed during standard business hours 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, hybrid schedule
  • Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary
